Ladies Drift Events
Upcoming Events
We are holding TWO ladies days in South Australia in 2024 and hope to hold more in future! You can sign up to our newsletter and be first to hear about future events here.
Ladies Drift School
Saturday 20th April 2024 – Mallala Motorsport Park (Skidpan – 9am – 4pm)
Perfect for beginners, this day focuses on exercises in the morning (donuts & figure 8s) before moving to an open-peanut style track in the afternoon so ladies can practice corners/entries!
Ladies Matsuri
Sunday 29th September 2024 – Mallala Motorsport Park (Main Track – 9am – 4pm)
Catering for everyone from beginners to advanced drivers, this will be a free flowing event on the Mallala Main Track and we will have groups according to skill level and a startline that will ensure comfy gaps for those who would like it!
Don’t have a drift car but have a cool JDM or Euro car you’d like to bring and display? Check out details about our Shimmer n Shine here.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I sign up to one of your events?
We will open entries to our events about 4-8 weeks before each event. Once registered, you’ll receive a detailed email in the lead up to the event with everything you need to know about the day, including the schedule and anything you need to organise in advance.
How old do I need to be to drift?
The minimum age for our events is 14 (and this is the same age that for passengers). However, any one who is aged between 14 and 18 must prove they have previous driving experience and they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Do I need a special license to participate?
Yes, you’ll need a special motorsport license to get on the track. At the moment our events are accredited by Racers, and you can purchase a Racers Clubman Day license for $50 or an annual license for $95.
Do you offer instruction at your events?
At some of our events we offer dedicated instructors (such as our drift schools/beginners days), while other events we are happy to offer tips and support when we can… but we may be driving ourselves!
What if I dont have a rear wheel drive car?
Front wheel drive sadly doesn’t make the cut for drifting! From time to time, we are able to offer cars for hire, but most of our events are bring your own car events. We highly recommend looking at affordable rear wheel drive cars like older BMWs, Ford Falcons, Holden Commodores, R31 Skylines, V35 Skylines.
I’m nervous… will I look stupid?
NO! We were all newbies once, and despite having more experience now, we still get very nervous! The great part is once you get going – the adrenaline and excitement takes over, and you’ll forget about all those nerves that you had at the start. We see so many ladies hesitating to get started with drifting – but we promise you, once you give it a go, you’ll be addicted!
